flaxseed bread

Prep time: 10 mins
Cook time: 45 mins
Total time: 55 mins


  • 125ml (half tub) cream cheese
  • 150ml greek yoghurt
  • 4 eggs (separated)
  • 1T baking powder
  • 1⁄2 cup ground flaxseed
  • 1⁄4 cup ground almond dust (or whatever nut dust you have)
  • 1⁄2 handful sunflower seeds


  1. Preheat oven to 150°C.
  2. In a large bowl meet the eggs whites until they form stiff peaks
  3. In a bowl, mix together the remaining ingredients
  4. Add the eggs whites to the remaining ingredients, gently folding together
  5. Pour into loaf tin and sprinkle sunflower seeds on top
  6. Bake for 40 minutes


This stayed very eggy when I made it… and the middle collapsed (in a very flamoyant souffle fashion)
